Samsung Electronics has introduced a groundbreaking gaming monitor that provides an immersive 3D experience without needing special eyewear.

On Monday, the tech giant unveiled several cutting-edge 2025 monitor models, including the innovative Odyssey 3D, the high-performance Odyssey OLED G8 with 4K resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate in a 27-inch format, and the professional-grade 37-inch Viewfinity S8.

The Odyssey 3D (G90XF) has a lenticular lens on its front panel and incorporates AI 3D video conversion technology. This cutting-edge feature transforms standard 2D content into stunning 3D visuals, allowing users to enjoy their favorite YouTube videos in three dimensions.

The monitor offers a premium 3D viewing experience tailored to the user’s eye position by integrating advanced eye tracking and screen mapping technologies. Gamers can also register their favorite titles with the dedicated Reality Hub software to unlock an unparalleled 3D gaming experience.

The Odyssey 3D supports 4K resolution, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, and G-Sync compatibility, significantly reducing screen tearing during graphically intensive gameplay. With a maximum refresh rate of 165Hz and a rapid 1ms response time, users can expect smooth and responsive gaming sessions.

Samsung has also enhanced its existing Odyssey lineup. The ‘Odyssey OLED G8 (G81SF)’ comes in 27-inch and 32-inch variants, both offering 4K resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate for exceptional picture quality and contrast. The 27-inch model stands out with its impressive 166 PPI (pixels per inch), delivering razor-sharp visuals while minimizing reflections thanks to its ‘OLED glare-free’ technology, further enhancing gaming immersion.

In a world first, the Odyssey OLED G8 features an oscillating heat pipe in its Dynamic Cooling System, effectively managing screen temperatures without compromising brightness. It also includes OLED Safeguard+ technology to prevent burn-in issues. Other highlights include a 16:9 aspect ratio, an ultra-fast 0.03ms (GtG) response time, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and G-Sync compatibility, and a fully adjustable stand with height, tilt, swivel, and pivot functions.

Samsung also introduced the 49-inch Odyssey G9 monitor, expanding consumer options and offering dual QHD resolution and a panoramic 32:9 ultrawide aspect ratio.

The high-resolution Viewfinity S8 (S80UD) and S7 (S70D) monitors are the first to offer 4K resolution with a 16:9 aspect ratio in a spacious 37-inch format. The Viewfinity S8 features an ergonomic stand with height and tilt adjustments, VESA mount compatibility for flexible placement, and a USB-C port for enhanced connectivity. This premium monitor is available exclusively through Samsung.com.

To celebrate the launch, Samsung offers exciting pre-order incentives for its gaming and high-resolution monitors until March 30. Customers can enjoy discounts of up to 150,000 KRW ($112.5) per monitor and a complimentary JBL gaming headset or speakers. Those purchasing the Odyssey 3D through Samsung.com will receive 100,000 KRW ($75) worth of Nexon game cash on a first-come, first-served basis.

The new 2025 monitors are also available through Samsung’s AI Subscription Club. Customers opting for the Odyssey 3D with the AI Smart plan can subscribe for approximately 40,000 KRW ($30) per month, including card benefits.

Kang Jin Seon, Vice President of Samsung Electronics Korea, stated, “Our 2025 gaming and high-resolution monitor lineup demonstrates industry-leading innovation and a wide range of options, enhancing consumer choice. We invite customers to experience these cutting-edge products and take advantage of our special offers.”

The 2025 monitor lineup is priced at 2.49 million KRW ($1,870) for the Odyssey 3D, 1.99 million KRW ($1,490) for the Odyssey OLED G8 32-inch, 1.69 million KRW ($1,270) for the 27-inch Odyssey OLED G8, 1.45 million KRW ($1,090) for the Odyssey G9 49-inch, and 780,000 KRW ($585) for the Viewfinity 37-inch.
