Korean Robotics Firm Brings AI-Driven Parking Tech to 2025 ITS Asia-Pacific

The parking robot, Parkie / HL Group

HL Group announced on Tuesday that Parkie, the parking robot developed by its global robotics solution subsidiary HL Robotics, has been invited to demonstrate at the 2025 Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Asia-Pacific Conference.

The demonstration will showcase the latest version of Parkie, the world’s first indoor autonomous parking robot, and mark the debut of the Site Management System (SMS), its advanced control system. Parkie’s SMS is a user-friendly robot management platform that goes beyond basic robot control. It was introduced to maximize operational efficiency, safety, and reliability at parking facilities. The system provides 3D parking lot monitoring and maintenance management, including battery status checks and fault diagnosis.

The ITS Asia-Pacific Conference is Asia-Pacific’s largest intelligent transportation system exhibition and academic conference. This year’s conference, which will run from Wednesday to Friday, is expected to draw over 10,000 attendees to the Suwon Convention Center, including ministerial-level officials from 20 Asia-Pacific countries and various experts.

Kim Yoon Ki, CEO of HL Robotics, stated that to make Parkie play a key role in solving urban traffic problems, the company will actively cooperate with the ITS Association as a representative of Korea, an Asia-Pacific Congress member state.
