Kia announced on Tuesday that it will host a solo exhibition at the 2025 Milan Design Week, the design and furniture fair that kicks off on Monday. This marks the brand’s third consecutive year of participation.

Milan Design Week is the premier gathering place for trendsetters, uniting the finest minds in architecture, fashion, automotive design, and technological innovation. This year, Kia is presenting a solo exhibition at the prestigious Museo delle Tecnologie La Permanente in the heart of Milan. Partnering with global artists, Kia is giving its Opposites United design philosophy a bold new artistic interpretation.

Kia’s collaboration with contemporary art star Philippe Parreno is set to captivate audiences with Maki—a floating installation that masterfully manipulates light and space to create a truly mesmerizing experience.

The dynamic duo A.A. Murakami—hailing from London and Tokyo—is unveiling not one but two showstopping installations at Kia’s exhibit.

The Cave immerses you in a cool echo chamber, while Beyond the Horizon transforms delicate bubbles into drifting clouds right before your eyes.

Kia is increasing the volume with a lineup of forums, performances, and interactive events centered around its Opposites United theme.

Each evening, the stage on the second floor of the exhibition space will host forums featuring speakers from various fields—such as scholars, artists, and designers—who will engage with audiences from around the world.

After the forums, performances spanning a range of genres—from traditional music to electronic—will continue late into the night, adding vibrant energy to the evenings of Milan Design Week.

A Kia spokesperson expressed excitement, stating that the exhibition represents the intersection of Kia’s design philosophy and the art world, sparking a cultural revolution. They added that they look forward to seeing visitors and artists find inspiration and unleash their creativity within the space.
