Search Underway: Drone Deployed in Youngstown After Deadly Explosion

On May 28 (EDT), ABC News reported that an explosion occurred in Central Square in downtown Youngstown, Ohio, injuring seven people and leaving two missing.

According to the report, an unexplained explosion damaged a nearby apartment and a building with a Chase bank branch.

Youngstown fire officials said they are investigating whether there was a gas leak, as there is a possibility of a natural gas explosion.

This explosion injured seven people, one of whom is reported to be in serious condition.

Fire officials also shared that two people, including a bank employee, are missing. They also are using small drones to search for the missing victims in the collapsed building’s basement.

ABC News added that there are no suspicious circumstances related to the explosion so far.
