How Immigration Chart Saved Trump During Assassination Attempt

Yonhap News

On the 13th, former U.S. President Donald Trump was injured by a bullet during an election rally. The New York Times reported on Sunday that Trump’s survival was due to an illegal immigration chart set up on stage, which apparently played a role in shielding him.

In a phone interview, Texas Congressman Dr. Ronny Jackson, a former White House physician, recounted that Trump told him, “I was able to save my life because of that chart.”

Jackson explained that the bullet flew by as Trump turned his head to look at the chart, adding, “If he hadn’t kept looking that way, it would have gone through his head.”

Trump specifically thanked the U.S. Border Patrol for providing the necessary statistics for the chart.

Jackson mentioned that Trump sounded unfazed and resolute during their call.

Jackson’s nephew, who was at the rally, was reported to have been injured by the bullet fired by the gunman.

Despite the incident, Trump is scheduled to attend the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, starting on the 15th for a three-day schedule.
