Unlocking the Future: How AI Workforce is Transforming Manufacturing in 2026

#1. Quality control for mass-produced foods typically requires opening packages to verify proper preparation. However, CJ Olive Networks’ vision AI technology eliminates this need. Their system can detect abnormalities or defects in food products without breaking the seal, streamlining non-destructive quality inspection processes.

#2. The future of work is exemplified by human-AI collaboration. POSCO DX’s AI Workforce environment showcases this synergy, with AI handling repetitive office tasks and intelligently monitoring hazardous operations in production facilities without human intervention. This integration significantly boosts overall operational efficiency.

The AI Factory special exhibit made its debut at the Smart Factory & Automation Industry Exhibition 2026 (AW 2026), Asia’s largest showcase for manufacturing and AI transformation. The event, which kicked off on March 4 in Seoul’s Gangnam district, highlights how AI technologies are revolutionizing manufacturing, logistics, and various enterprise ecosystems.

POSCO DX’s AI Workforce Steals the Spotlight

POSCO DX’s AI Workforce themed zone within the AI Factory exhibit offers a glimpse into the future of work environment. This innovative setup features AI agents working alongside humans to solve complex problems in both office and manufacturing settings. The company is actively expanding its AI Workforce initiative, developing over 110 AI agents across HR, purchasing, and management analysis functions.

A POSCO DX spokesperson highlighted their achievements, stating, “Our AI agent for accounting processes has decreased processing times by 80% by automating data verification from ERP and business management systems. We are also leveraging experienced worker data to optimize AI agents for industrial operations, driving the automation of everything from equipment control to data processing and decision-making.”

CJ Olive Networks Unveils AI Factory Solutions

CJ Olive Networks captured attention with its industrial AI applications. Under the theme AI FACTORY FOR LIFE, the company showcased cutting-edge technologies central to smart factory and automation advancements. Their approach involves designing comprehensive AI-driven industrial solutions tailored to specific operational environments. In the AI Factory zone, CJ Olive Networks’ AI Discovery section offered customized solutions for businesses looking to implement seamless AI transformation in manufacturing and logistics.

Representatives from CJ Olive Networks explained, “Our AI Discovery zone offers visitors free expert consultations on implementing manufacturing and logistics AI technologies. We provide real-world case studies and tailored solutions that can lead to practical commercial applications. Using data from production management and real-time data management systems, our agentic AI can automatically analyze processes and equipment status, generating actionable troubleshooting insights.”

Beyond the AI Factory zone, various domestic physical AI innovations drew significant interest. AIDIN Robotics unveiled its second-generation humanoid robotic hand, the AIDIN Hand Gen2, at the AW2026 International Factory Automation Exhibition. This new model boasts enhanced agility in a more compact form factor compared to its predecessor, with an official launch planned for the first half of the year. Smart factory specialist AIM Systems demonstrated advanced operational control capabilities in smart logistics. They showcased integrated control technology that maximizes logistics efficiency through a strategic partnership with autonomous robot expert Twinny. The AW2026 event, featuring 500 companies across 2,300 booths, runs through March 6.
