LG Electronics is ramping up its presence in the North American HVAC market with innovative solutions, including unitary systems and AI data center cooling technology specifically designed for the region.
From February 2-4, the company will showcase its customized unitary system lineup at AHR EXPO 2026, North America’s largest HVAC exhibition in Las Vegas. These systems are engineered to meet the unique needs of North American residential environments. LG will also display its high-performance HVAC solutions for commercial and industrial applications, featuring superior energy efficiency, durability, and versatile installation and maintenance options.
LG Targets North American Residential HVAC Market with Advanced Unitary System
In the residential product lineup, LG will highlight its flagship Unitary Inverter Heat Pump outdoor unit series. This system not only delivers consistent performance but also incorporates refrigerant leak detection sensors for enhanced safety. It’s designed to meet the high reliability and practicality standards demanded by the North American residential market. The system’s user-friendly installation and maintenance make it adaptable to various housing styles.
Unitary systems are the most commonly used residential heating and cooling solution in North America, where single-family homes with high ceilings are prevalent. These systems typically consist of standardized outdoor units and indoor air handlers that distribute warm or cool air throughout the house via existing ductwork.
LG Electronics is aggressively expanding its unitary business, building on its success in the commercial air conditioning sector, which strengthens its position as a premium brand in the North American HVAC market. Furthermore, LG’s innovative HVAC solutions now extend to water heating. The company’s Inverter Heat Pump Water Heater has earned ENERGY STAR® certification for its efficient hot water supply and heating capabilities. The Tankless Gas Water Heater provides on-demand hot water without a storage tank, boasting high energy efficiency and insulation thanks to its dual stainless steel heat exchangers.
LG Showcases Industrial, Commercial, and Component Solutions, Including Cutting-Edge AI Data Center Cooling Technology
At the expo, LG will also present its range of industrial HVAC solutions, including a liquid cooling distribution unit (CDU) designed for AI data centers, which are rapidly proliferating across North America.
LG’s CDU employs metal cooling plates directly attached to heat-generating chips in servers, circulating coolant to dissipate heat effectively. This system offers significant advantages over traditional air cooling methods, requiring less space and delivering higher energy efficiency, making it particularly well-suited for AI data centers that generate substantial heat.
LG will also unveil its Rooftop Unit, a commercial heating and cooling solution manufactured at its HVAC facility in Huntsville, Alabama. This unit maintains reliable heating performance down to -5°C (23°F) without auxiliary backup heaters and seamlessly integrates with building automation systems for enhanced convenience.
For the second year running, LG has set up a dedicated exhibition space to showcase its core component technology, CoreTech. This area will feature an All-in-One Component Solution that integrates essential HVAC components such as compressors, motors, fan motors, and drives.
Lee Jae-sung, President of LG Electronics’ ES Business Division, stated, “We’re accelerating our global HVAC market expansion, with a focus on North America, by leveraging our advanced solutions based on differentiated unitary systems and AI data center cooling technology.”
