Unveiling the Galaxy Z Flip 7 Olympic Edition

Samsung Electronics unveils the Galaxy Z Flip 7 Olympic Edition. Samsung Electronics, an official partner of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), announced on Tuesday that it has provided a specially designed Galaxy Z Flip 7 Olympic Edition to all 3,800 athletes from approximately 90 countries participating in the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics and Paralympics.

This Olympic Edition features a signature design commemorating the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics. In addition, it is equipped with various services to support athletes.

The back of the device features a vibrant blue color, symbolizing Olympic unity, sportsmanship, and Samsung’s brand identity. The gold metallic color was applied to the product frame to symbolically represent the athletes’ pursuit of excellence and the moment they stand on the podium.

The blue circular magnet attached to the transparent magnetic case, provided with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 Olympic Edition, is designed with a motif of golden laurel leaves encircling it, symbolizing victory.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 Olympic Edition comes with a custom theme inspired by the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics. This theme, which visualizes the curved patterns made by skate blades on ice, signifies the Olympic spirit and the athletes’ passion.

Athletes participating in the games can communicate without language barriers using the device’s on-board AI Interpreter feature, powered by Galaxy AI.

The Now Brief function provides athletes with easy access to event schedules and personal health data, including sleep information.

A dual recording feature allows athletes to capture unique photos and videos using both front and rear cameras simultaneously. This enables athletes to film themselves while recording their surroundings.

Samsung Electronics has partnered with various Olympic sponsors to offer a range of convenient apps and services for the athletes.

Each athlete will receive a 100-gigabyte (GB) eSIM compatible with 5G networks.

In addition, the Olympic Edition devices come pre-installed with several useful apps, including the Galaxy Athlete Card for exchanging digital profile cards via NFC, the Samsung Wallet featuring an in-app pass for free drinks from Coca-Cola Company vending machines in the Olympic Village, and Athlete 365 which delivers real-time updates and announcements about the games.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 Olympic Edition will be distributed at six Olympic Villages on Friday.

Samsung Electronics plans to operate Samsung Open Stations in the Olympic Villages, offering on-site support for device activation and data transfer to ensure athletes can use their new devices immediately.

Samsung Electronics is also collaborating with the IOC to introduce the Victory Selfie program to the Winter Olympics for the first time.

The Victory Selfie program, first introduced at the 2024 Paris Olympics, allows medalists to capture their own podium moments. This program will now extend to both individual and team events.

Samsung Electronics also plans to showcase Victory Profile photos of athletes, captured with the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

These profiles will not only highlight the athletes’ competitive moments but also showcase the dedication and preparation behind their Olympic journeys.

Samsung Electronics has partnered with National Olympic Committees (NOCs) from nine countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Italy, France, Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, and South Korea, with approximately 490 athletes who consented to participate in the Victory Profile program.

Choi Seung-eun, Vice President and Head of Mobile Marketing at Samsung Electronics’ Mobile Experience (MX) division, stated, “Athletes have always been at the heart of the Olympics and Paralympics. For over three decades, Samsung Electronics has been proud to support their journeys through our mobile technology as an official partner. We hope the Galaxy Olympic Edition will enable athletes to share their unforgettable moments with fans worldwide and their loved ones in their own unique way.”
