Regarding Biden’s withdrawal from the presidential race, an official from the Presidential Office stated, “We do not wish to comment on the political situations in other countries.”
However, the official added that support for the U.S.-ROK alliance in the United States is bipartisan, emphasizing that they will closely collaborate with the U.S. to continuously advance the global comprehensive strategic partnership between the U.S. and South Korea.
In other words, regardless of the outcome of the U.S. election, the South Korea-U.S. alliance will remain strong through ongoing communication with the U.S. This is the message the South Korean government consistently conveyed regarding the U.S. election.
