Argentine beauty pageant, who claimed the 2024 Miss Universe competition was rigged, has been stripped of her crown.

According to Latin Times, Magali Benejam, 30, who ranked 12th in the 73rd Miss Universe held in Mexico last November, recently cast doubt on the competition’s results during a YouTube livestream.

Benejam described the scene: “When the top 5 were announced, the judges looked at each other in strange ways. They exchanged glances as if to say, ‘This isn’t what we chose.'”

She also alleged suspicious behavior from Denmark’s Victoria Kjær Theilvig, who won the competition. “The Danish representative was with at least three bodyguards on the final day as if she knew she would win,” Benejam claimed.

Benejam added, “I heard people saying the results were decided at least 10 days in advance. I wasn’t aware of this at the time.” She also criticized Miss Puerto Rico, Jennifer Colon, 37, who also made the top 12, for being unfriendly and wearing “the worst dress” that night.

In response to her controversial statements, the Miss Universe organization immediately announced that they would revoke her Miss Argentina title.

The Miss Universe organization declared, “After a thorough review of Miss Magali Benejam’s public comments, we have determined that they violate our core principles. As a result, we have decided to immediately withdraw the title of Miss Argentina from her.” They emphasized that participants must uphold the values of diversity and inclusion while respecting every individual regardless of background, beliefs, or experiences.

Despite accusing the competition of being rigged, Benejam continued to flaunt her title with an Instagram bio claiming “Miss Universe’s Best Figure.” Even after losing her title, she has maintained the phrase “Miss Universe Argentina 2024” on her Instagram profile.
