North Korea Trash Talks With Trash Balloons

News1

Kim Yo Jong, Kim Jong Un’s younger sister and Deputy Head of the North Korean Workers’ Party, warned on the 21st that they would distribute propaganda balloons again. This appears to be an immediate backlash against the defector organization sending 300,000 anti-North Korea leaflets the day before.

In a statement released through the Korean Central News Agency, Kim said, “The disgusting defectors sent leaflets across our border. There are once again dirty toilet papers and boxes scattered around the border. Naturally, unnecessary work arises as they repeated what we clearly stated not to do.”

The Free North Korea Movement announced that it had sent balloons carrying 300,000 anti-North Korea leaflets and USBs containing songs from Paju, Gyeonggi Province the night before.

North Korea has launched propaganda balloons four times from last month to early this month. The South Korean government responded by resuming loudspeaker broadcasts against North Korea and suspending the full effect of the 9/19 Inter-Korean Military Agreement. However, it stopped due to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s upcoming visit to North Korea.

On the 19th, as soon as Putin’s visit to North Korea was concluded, Kim announced the distribution of trash balloons.
