Air Canada announced Friday that it has been honored with the most awards of any Canadian airline at the 2024 Skytrax World Airline Awards, taking home five in total.

They were named as the best airline in a total of five categories including World’s Best Business Class Airline Lounge Catering for the Toronto Air Canada Signature Suite, Best Cabin Crew in Canada, Most Family Friendly Airline in North America, Best Premium Economy Class Onboard Catering in North America, and Cleanest Airline in North America.

The Skytrax World Airline Awards is regarded as the most prestigious in the aviation industry.

The winners are determined through a global survey of passengers worldwide.

The survey for this year’s award was conducted from September 2023 through May 2024. More than 20 million passengers from over 100 countries participated in the survey.

“I believe the results of this Skytrax Award are a recognition of our airline’s excellence by passengers worldwide. I am always grateful for the hard work and dedication shown by our 40,000 employees worldwide,” said Air Canada President and CEO Michael Rousseau.

He added, “I am particularly pleased to see the work of our flight attendants and our cabin services operations teams being recognized. We will continue to strive to provide the best service for every one of our passengers.

Air Canada is the largest national airline in Canada and also the founding member of the Star Alliance, the world’s largest airline alliance. It currently provides airline services at more than 180 international airports.
