NFL coaching legend Bill Belichick, 72, has raised eyebrows by requesting to include his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordan Hudson, in work-related communications as he prepares for his first college football coaching role at the University of North Carolina. People magazine characterized Belichick’s move as “elevating his relationship to a new level.”

The couple’s 48-year age gap has become a topic of public fascination, with the pair openly flaunting their romance. Sources indicate that they first crossed paths in February 2021 when Hudson was a student at Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts.

The media reported their relationship in January 2022 when they were spotted strolling together in New Orleans, Louisiana. Later that year, they were seen enjoying a dinner date in the same city in September. Belichick and Hudson officially confirmed their relationship in June 2023 and have since shared glimpses of their romance on social media.

Hudson shared a playful moment with Belichick in her most recent Instagram post at Jupiter Beach, Florida. The image shows the coach lifting Hudson onto his feet in a lighthearted “airplane” pose. The post garnered a mix of supportive and critical comments. Some fans encouraged the couple with messages like, “Enjoy it. Love is love,” and “Live your best life and don’t let anyone stop you from chasing your dreams.” However, others disapproved, commenting that Belichick was old enough to be her grandfather.

Hudson’s background includes a successful stint as a college cheerleader, having won national competitions. She also boasts a runner-up title in a beauty pageant.

Belichick’s illustrious 40-year NFL career as a head coach and defensive coordinator has seen him reach the Super Bowl 11 times and win 8 championships, making him one of only three coaches in NFL history to claim six Super Bowl victories. Reports suggest that Belichick’s new role with the North Carolina Tar Heels comes with a lucrative contract, guaranteeing an annual salary of $10 million plus $3.5 million in incentives for the first three years.
