Basketball legend Michael Jordan’s son has been arrested on charges of drunk driving and drug possession.

According to ABC News and other outlets on Tuesday, Florida police arrested Marcus Jordan, 34, Michael Jordan’s son, around 2 a.m. on the same day on a railroad track in Maitland, Florida.

Marcus Jordan is the second son of Michael Jordan and his ex-wife, Juanita Vanoy.

Earlier, at around 1:03 a.m. the same day, Marcus did not comply with police orders to pull over and fled the scene. After a pursuit, officers eventually located Marcus’s Lamborghini parked on the railroad tracks. At the time, the car smelled of alcohol, and Marcus was reported to have bloodshot eyes and slurred speech.

Marcus reportedly said, “Bro, I’m Marcus Jordan. I’m Michael Jordan’s son,” mentioning his father’s name. He maintained his innocence, claiming, “I’m not doing anything wrong. I’m just trying to get home. And I made a wrong turn. OK?”

Marcus asked the officers to remove his car from the tracks, stating, “I mean, the concern is this $300,000 vehicle.” He also insisted that while he had consumed some alcohol, it was “within the legal limit.”

Media sources cited the police report and indicated that Marcus’s vehicle headlights were found on the railroad tracks, with visible damage to the bumper. This evidence suggests that he attempted to flee but was unsuccessful.

Following police instructions, Marcus eventually exited the vehicle and was arrested for drunk driving.

During a search, officers discovered a clear plastic bag containing a white powdery substance in Marcus’s right pocket, which was later tested positive for cocaine.

Marcus was taken to the Orange County Jail on multiple charges, including drunk driving, cocaine possession, and resisting arrest without violence. He was released later the same day.
