At Nvidia’s annual developer conference, GTC 2025, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang made another notable appearance at Samsung Electronics’ product exhibition booth. This time, he left his signature on Samsung’s GDDR7 memory semiconductor, a key component in graphics processing units (GPUs), rather than Samsung’s high-bandwidth memory (HBM) products.
On Thursday, around 2 p.m., Huang visited Samsung’s San Jose Convention Center booth. He autographed Samsung’s consumer and professional GPU products, writing, “Samsung’s GDDR7 Rocks.”
The product Huang signed was the GDDR7 memory that Samsung currently supplies to Nvidia. Nvidia produces two products with GDDR7 memory: the consumer-grade GeForce RTX 5090 and the professional RTX PRO 6000 GPUs.

Interestingly, Huang didn’t visit Samsung’s high-bandwidth memory (HBM) products that day. He focused on the graphics cards, and unlike last year, he refrained from using words like “Approved” in his signature.
On the day of the event, Jo Sang Yeon, Samsung Electronics Vice President for Device Solutions in the Americas, oversaw Huang’s booth visit. While Huang left his autograph, he didn’t make any additional comments to Samsung officials.
This interaction follows last year’s GTC 2024 event, where Huang signed Samsung’s HBM3E 12-layer product with the phrase “JENSEN APPROVED.” That gesture sparked speculation about Samsung’s HBM passing Nvidia’s quality tests. However, it has been reported that Samsung has not yet passed Nvidia’s stringent quality verification process.
