KCC Revolutionizes Logistics With Total Solution for Autonomous Robots

KCC

KCC has unveiled a total solution tailored to the construction of smart logistics systems in the logistics industry.

According to KCC on the 9th, in line with the innovative development of the logistics industry, they launched four types of flooring suitable for autonomous logistics robots, namely, Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR).

AGVs move along a set path according to magnetic tapes, QR codes, or separate external markers, while AMRs move along the optimal path at coordinates, autonomously resetting their route if there are obstacles.

The revealed four types of AGV and AMR flooring systems were developed considering the characteristics of autonomous logistics robots. In the case of logistics robots, their weight can reach up to 2,204.62 to 11,023.11 pounds (1t~5t), and they repeatedly take the same route for transporting the added supplies. which often damages the floor surface as a result. Also, defects in automation equipment can occur due to static shock occurring from friction between the floor and the loaded goods.

Through the Smart Series, which consists of four types of AGV and AMR flooring systems including the high-strength epoxy flooring SmartE, SmartT, SmartC, and SmartH, KCC is now able to provide solutions suitable for each situation, such as the load of the device and whether it is a construction or repair site.

KCC also participated in the International Logistics Industry Fair held recently at KINTEX in Ilsan to promote the excellence of its flooring system optimized for logistics automation systems and received high praise. In addition, they also informed the excellence of two types of organic water-based fire-resistant paint, which is essential for fire safety in logistics warehouses.

Ham Sung Soo. Executive Director of KCC’s distribution paint business division, said, “The realization of KCC’s super gap technology leading to the development of smart factories and smart logistics systems is very significant,” and added, “We plan to continue to introduce products that can create differentiated value in a new environment by accelerating digital transformation.”
