Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: What to Expect from the Upcoming Flagship Smartphone?

Rendered images of Samsung Electronics’ upcoming flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, have been revealed, drawing significant attention in the market.

According to the IT industry on February 7, renowned mobile tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks) posted a 360-degree render of the Galaxy S26 Ultra in a striking cobalt violet color variant on X.

While the Galaxy S26 Ultra featured in the image shares a similar overall design with its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, it is characterized by noticeably more rounded corners. The rear area also appears redesigned into a camera island, now reminiscent of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, while the distinctive camera ring design from the S25 Ultra is no longer visible.

Industry insiders suggest the new model will be slimmer and lighter. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to measure just 7.9 mm in thickness, down from the S25 Ultra’s 8.2 mm, and weigh approximately 214 grams.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is set to maintain its flagship status with impressive specifications. Leaked specifications indicate a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED QHD+ display with a maximum 120Hz refresh rate, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 5th generation processor. It’s expected to offer up to 16GB of RAM, 1TB of storage, a 5000mAh battery, 60W wired charging, and 25W wireless charging capabilities.

The camera system is rumored to feature a 200-megapixel main sensor (Samsung ISOCELL HP2, f/1.4), complemented by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens (Samsung JN3), a 50-megapixel periscope camera (Sony IMX854), and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

Samsung Electronics is scheduled to unveil the Galaxy S26 series at its Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25 in San Francisco. Industry experts anticipate that while the Galaxy S26 Ultra will likely use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, the Galaxy S26 and S26+ models may feature Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2600 processor.
