Former U.S. President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
According to reports from the Associated Press and other news outlets, Biden’s office released a statement on Sunday announcing that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer that has metastasized to his bones. Biden and his family are reportedly reviewing treatment options.
Reports indicated that Biden recently underwent tests after experiencing urinary symptoms and was diagnosed with prostate cancer on May 16.
The New York Times (NYT), citing a spokesperson for Biden, reported that he has been diagnosed with an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer.
The NYT explained that the diagnosis came after doctors discovered a small nodule in Biden’s prostate that required further evaluation.
