
Smiths Detection, a global leader in threat detection and security screening, announced a groundbreaking partnership with Deepnoid, an AI software company. Revealed on Wednesday, the collaboration aims to integrate Deepnoid’s cutting-edge AI technology into Smiths Detection’s security screening systems.
Deepnoid’s AI technology will undergo extensive testing on Smiths Detection’s HI-SCAN 6040-2is handheld luggage X-ray scanner. The partnership also plans to enhance detection speed, accuracy, and efficiency in computed tomography (CT) screening.
This collaboration aligns with Smiths Detection’s responsible open architecture strategy, ensuring smooth integration of third-party AI solutions while maintaining rigorous security standards. It’s also a key component of the company’s Ada Initiative, which systematically onboards suppliers to achieve complete integration of hardware, software, and algorithms.
