A new study has revealed that children from wealthy families are more likely to grow taller.

According to reports from the UK’s Daily Mail on November 21, researchers from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York presented their groundbreaking findings on the connection between family wealth and children’s height at the American Heart Association conference in Chicago, Illinois.

The study found that while 70-80% of a child’s height is determined by genetics, environmental factors account for 20-30%. Surprisingly, parental wealth significantly impacts a child’s height among these environmental influences.

The researchers conducted the study on 13,000 Hispanic Americans and found that growing up in a wealthy household substantially impacts height more than other factors. Children from affluent families have more access to nutritious food and greater exposure to social experiences that promote growth.

Additionally, children raised in wealthy families had better heart health and cognitive abilities than those from less affluent environments.

These findings have captured more attention in light of the noticeably tall height of the children of famous figures, including the son of President-elect Donald Trump.

Barron Trump, born in 2006 to President-elect Trump and Melania Trump, is about 6 feet 7 inches (201 cm) tall.
