Elon Musk’s Controversial Tweet Sparks Outrage Over Trump Assassination Attempt

X@eleonmusk

Amid a second assassination attempt targeting former President Donald Trump, Tesla CEO Elon Musk sparked controversy with a post stating, “And no one is even trying to assassinate Biden/Kamala,” which he later deleted.

According to reports from CNN and other outlets on Thursday, Musk remarked on X (formerly Twitter) in response to a question about why people would want to harm Trump.

Numerous users demanded that he delete the post, but he eventually removed it after receiving public criticism from the White House.

White House deputy spokesperson Andrew Bates called Musk’s comments “irresponsible,” stating, “Violence should only be condemned, never encouraged or joked about. This rhetoric is irresponsible.”

Musk remarked, “Well, one lesson I’ve learned is that just because I say something to a group and they laugh doesn’t mean it’s going to be all that hilarious as a post on X.” “Turns out that jokes are WAY less funny if people don’t know the context and the delivery is plain text.”

Meanwhile, Musk has publicly supported Trump in the upcoming election. Reports indicate that their interactions are increasing, and their relationship is becoming increasingly close as the election approaches.
