Elon Musk’s AI Fashion Show Goes Viral: 120 Million Views and Counting

X

A video featuring North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and former President Donald Trump walking in a fashion show has captured significant attention.

However, the video is not from an actual fashion show but a virtual creation that Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX, posted on his social media.

Musk shared a one-minute and 23-second fashion show video on X. The video showcases important figures, including himself, Kim Jong Un, Putin, Xi Jinping, Joe Biden, Donald Trump, Barack Obama, and Tim Cook.

The video starts with Pope Francis wearing a long, padded white coat. An AI-generated image of the Pope in a white coat has already gained worldwide fame. Following, the video shows Putin wearing a shoulder-baring rainbow Louis Vuitton dress and President Biden seated in a wheelchair wearing sunglasses.

Trump appears in an orange prison uniform, and Kim Jong Un dressed as a hip-hop warrior, wearing a hoodie emblazoned with KIM and a large gold chain necklace.

Obama walked on the runway in over ten different outfits, including those of a Japanese samurai, a Roman warrior, and a player from the NBA Chicago Bulls.

Xi wears clothing with red and yellow bears and carries a teddy bear bag, evoking the image of Winnie the Pooh, which he reportedly dislikes.

Musk himself appears in the video wearing underwear with an X printed on it but quickly transforms into a black spacesuit adorned with the Tesla logo. The last model is Microsoft founder Bill Gates, who holds monitors in both hands and displays the message, “PC must restart due to a problem.”

Although the video is evidently fake, it has amassed over 120 million views and likes exceeding 1 million.

Carl-Axel Wallström, the creative director of studio Copy Lab, which utilizes AI images, described the video as “a beautiful example of how generative AI can be used in a fun and creative way.”

Andrew Burnstine, a marketing professor at Lynn University, explained, “This AI show represents a surreal intersection of politics, technology, and celebrity culture, blending satire, technology, and cultural critique.”
