Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, has stated that he will not run in the next presidential election in 2028 if he loses this November.
On Sunday, during an interview on the TV news show Full Measure, Trump was asked whether he would consider running again in four years if he is not elected this time.
“No, I don’t,” Trump said, “I don’t see that at all. Hopefully, we’re going to be successful,” expressing his determination to win the election.
With Trump declaring he will not run if he loses, this election is essentially set to be his last attempt for the presidency. Even if Trump wins this election and is re-elected as president, he will not be able to run again due to the term limit restrictions in the U.S. Constitution.
