After surviving an assassination attempt, former U.S. President Donald Trump’s chances of winning the November election have significantly increased.
According to Monday’s forecast by the U.S. political betting site Polymarket, Trump’s chances of winning the election surged from 63% two weeks ago to 71%.
On the other hand, President Joe Biden, troubled by candidate replacement rumors, saw his chances of winning plummet, mainly due to his poor performance in the TV debate.
Biden’s chances of winning were only 1% lower than Trump’s at 45% as of May 1st but fell an additional 2% over the past two weeks to 17%.
Vice President Kamala Harris, often mentioned as Biden’s substitute, was only 6%.
Polymarket anticipated a 29% chance that the head of the White House Secret Service would be dismissed due to the responsibility for the attempted assassination.
