Hollywood Actor Steven Seagal Attends Putin’s Inauguration

American action star Steven Seagal has drawn attention by appearing at Vladimir Putin’s fifth presidential inauguration.

According to The Mirror on the 7th (local time), Seagal visited the Kremlin in Moscow, Russia, dressed in an oriental black robe.

With his long hair tied back and a grown beard, he stood out among the 2,600 people who attended the inauguration.

Seagal also attended Putin’s fourth inauguration back in 2018.

The 72-year-old actor has maintained a friendly relationship with Putin who is of the same age, through their common interest in martial arts.

Last year, he even received the Order of Friendship from Putin. The Order of Friendship is an award given by the Russian government to individuals who have contributed to improving Russia’s international relations.

Seagal, who holds dual citizenship in the U.S. and Russia, is well-known for being pro-Russian.

The actor has even supported Russia’s annexation of Crimea in Ukraine.
